Who: Vivian Volkoff and YOU. What: Vivian comes across a bar and decides to make a night of it. When: 23rd May Where: The Lux Rating: PG. Will update if need be.
The bar finds itself with one mercenary as its patron that evening, sitting on the stools closest and drinking (sipping, really). To be honest he'd hoped the whole "castle-born children" thing had been skipped. It was certainly later than last year...it would have been nice to be given a break from the whole thing. But of course there was no such luck and although he hadn't wound up with one personally the whole situation was enough to warrant a drink.
He just really wasn't good with kids.
Particularly the ones back home, he though sourly at Lily's memory. With a frowning sort of expression he'll take another sip, swirling the glass' contents boredly.
So she wasn't exactly getting served here by sitting in a booth so Vivian got up and walked towards the bar, sliding onto one of the empty stools before gesturing to the bartender for a glass of wine. It was set in front of her quite quickly and she picked it up, taking a small sip.
Vivian looked around and caught sight of another patron at the bar near her, raising her glass in acknowledgment to him with a smile. She didn't know him, but she was still going to be friendly. Noticing the frown on his face, Vivian spoke up.
Well this was...new. He could count the number of times he'd been approached by a woman at a bar in Paradisa on one hand--one finger, really. But unlike the unnerving Ivy, this one seemed...well, normal. Which was a rare thing for Paradisa, so with a nod he straightened some and blinked.
Vivian was as normal as they came. Well, as normal as a person who just took over her father's arms dealing company could be. But she wasn't so keen to mention that part just yet. Or at all. She was certain that there was no one else she knew from back home here who could reveal who Vivian really was, but she still wasn't going to risk it.
