Who: Yami, Anzu, and maybe Yuugi? What: Yami has some questions, and wants to know why Yuugi can't remember him. When: After this thread. Where: In Anzu's room Rating: PG-ish. Yami might get a foul mouth, but nothing too bad.
Anzu had been alternating between watching her journal and listening for the door. When she heard the knock, she placed the book down on the table and made her way over to the door to answer it. The other Yuugi... Part of her wondered what she would find when he showed up, now that he was in a separate body from Yuugi's.
She pulled the door open and smiled, relieved that he looked familiar enough. "Do you want to go see Yuugi now?" she asked, after hesitating for a moment - it would probably be difficult for both of them, if one didn't remember the other, right? "I'm sure he'd either be in his room or with Jounouchi, so it shouldn't be hard to find him."
Yami smiled at his friend, as she opened the door. The good thing about Anzu was that she was intelligent, brave, and knew when to cut to the chase. He was glad that she had become friends with his aibou, and subsequently, him.
He nodded, solemnly. "Yes, I would like to see aibou. I'm grately worried about him. If he doesn't remember me, I'm afraid of what else he is forgetting..." The fact that his aibou did not remember him hurt, though it was taking some time for it to register. Truthfully, he wanted to see Yuugi for himself, and was hoping that what Anzu said was not entirely true.
Should what Anzu said be true, Yami knew one thing: He would do anything to help Yuugi regain his memories. Much like what Yuugi had sacrificed to help him.
"Don't worry," Anzu said, hoping to be at least somewhat reassuring. She briefly placed her hand on the other Yuugi's shoulder, giving it a slight squeeze. "Like you said, we'll figure out what's going on here." She smiled confidently. They'd all made it through worse than just ending up in an unfamiliar place and missing some memories, right? She was sure that they'd be fine. They just needed to stick together and try their best.
Pulling her hand away again, Anzu stepped outside to join her friend and closed the door behind her. It was a good thing that Yuugi's room was right next to hers and Jounouchi's was on the same floor. At least the three of them were in one place and now the other Yuugi was here, too. She glanced at him for a moment before heading towards Yuugi's door to knock and wait for an answer.
The former pharaoh found himself fidgeting, tapping his foot slightly in nervous expectation. The last time he had seen Yuugi was when he was wishing his aibou well, and telling Yuugi to be strong as he walked through the doors to the afterlife. Would Yuugi look any different? Would he be resentful towards him, once Yuugi remembered who he was.
Yami's features were marred with a frown. At least, let him be well, he thought.
