From time to time, Dream leaves his seat in the heart of The Dreaming, now his room in the Castle, to walk between dreams. Like sorting through archives, he tugs and tweaks at the corners, paints the skies a slightly different shade, closer to reality or sometimes further away from. He steps away from the dreams of a boy who made a deal with a demon to the dreams of a little courageous puppy and now to here... to the doll's house.

He stands in the corner, arms folded as he surveys the room. It isn't that he is completely devoid of emotions or apathetic to the plight of the dreamers, but it is not given to him to judge pleasant dreams from otherwise. Dream is free to do whatever he wishes in The Dreaming, though he prefers not to meddle unless his interest is peaked, like now.

"What a beautiful doll you have," he says by way of greeting.

Harley glances up at the words to see a man. For an odd reason she doesn't bother to examine, she doesn't find it strange to have someone she doesn't know in her room. She answers cheerfully.

"Thanks! She's my favorite one."

She props the doll up against her knees, one porcelain hand in each of hers.

Dream kneels to shorten the distance between them and examines the porcelain doll. He doesn't take to reading into the meaning of dreams, though sometimes it interests him to ask the dreamers what they mean. They have such stories to tell.

"Does she have a name?"

Harley shakes her head.

"No, not yet. I haven't found anything good enough for her. She needs the best."

She cocks her head inquisitively at him.

"What do you think? Any ideas?"
