The scene was so familiar that Sweets was surprised. It had been a very long time since the two of them have barged into his office, demanding some kind of explanation. There was a moment where he couldn't help the smile that crossed his face at small the reminder of home, before shifting up into more of a sitting position.
"Well, Agent Booth does have a point, Doctor Brennan. The castle can be a very dangerous place." He straightened in his seat a little more, before resting his elbows on the arms of his chair. "But ... what does this have to do with vampires?"
Brennan glanced at the psychologist for a moment before she turned to scowl at her partner. Her arms crossed over her chest, and her expression was far from amused.
"I do not know who that is. But considering the Christian bible is a combination of folklore roughly based around actual history, and fables meant to indoctrinate their readers with a set of antiquated moralities, any intelligent person would know better than to take it's writings word for word."
That said, her attention returned to Sweets. Psychologist or not, he had something of a scientific background. And Booth did on occasion listen to the younger man. "Agent Booth is being unjustly prejudiced against inhabitants of the castle that can best be described as vampires. He is letting an irrational fear of demons, as perpetrated by his religious beliefs, dictate his opinion."
He sputtered. Somehow, no matter how many times they had this argument this always sparked the purest of frustrations in the agent.
It wasn't that he didn't expect it. He just couldn't help it. "There's nothing rough about it. That's actual history we're talking about, Bones. God's history. And we don't indoctrinate. Cults indoctrinate." Lips pressing together in a thin line, he holds up a hand to head Brennan off before she can take that track. "Catholicisim is NOT a cult."
Turning his attention to the young doctor, he grimaces at him as if this is somehow his fault. Or, if not his fault, his problem to fix. "She wants to learn fighting from a vampire-" He stopped, shooting Brennan a sharp look," -who I am not afraid of, for any rational or irrational reason, I might add. But she should be. He's dangerous."
"I'm sure he is." There was a pause, before he was gesturing towards the couch in front of him. "Why don't you both have a seat and we can talk about this?"

Or the Bible, for that matter.
