Mahaado kept his journal between his robes and bare chest as he moved down the hallway, one hand positioned against the walls of the very thing that had caused the most recent rash of strange and painful occurances. Truth be told, the priest half expected demons to emerge from the walls of Cair Paradisa and attempt to halt his slow journey up a floor toward Remus' room. But there was nothing so dramatic to be found. Just a sickening feeling of weakness in his entire body, which dragged his will and psyche down toward a kind of ugly, dark sleep. He dared not pause in his trek, lest such occur.
"Master?"
"Mahaado. I told you to remain in bed."
"I am ill, master...my stomach pains me."
"Have I not taught you spells for healing? My student. When you take my place as priest, you must not allow such trifles to interfere with your duties. Learn to correct them on your own, lest you be a burden to those you must protect. Now, do not trouble me!"
Mahaado grimaced at the memory. Perhaps this is why I am so lenient with Mana, he reflected
