"You! This!" She motioned to the area around them, but she really just meant what was between them. This was almost worse than him keeping his distance. At least then, she knew. She could say Tim doesn't really want me around. Now? She had no idea, and it was killing her. Maybe not literally, but she really didn't like it all that much.

Realizing Tim probably didn't understand what she meant, she expanded on her answer. "You're acting weird, Tim! I don't know if it was the hit to the head or the trip home, but I just... I just don't get it. What happened? I don't understand. One day you're having trouble being in the same room as me, and now you invite me to head out with you into the forest?" She was getting kind of worked up, but the frustration had just exploded and was coming out of her mouth now.

"Did I get into some horrible accident at home? Did I quit? Why are you being so... nice?"
