Anya made her way to the pier, really grateful for the warm weather and the inviting location. She'd been living in Sunnydale for the past few years, but she hadn't managed to make it up to Los Angeles during her stay.

Even with the brooding vampire changing locations, she was never invited on those little day trips. That was reserved for Willow or Buffy, one time even that werewolf that Willow had dated once upon a time, before she was a lesbian.

She had planned on meeting them on the beach, and the warm sand let her feet sink in with each step. Spotting the boys up ahead she smirked, "Hey! You're in the sand and you won't need that Christmas present I got you."

York and Delta broke into matching smiles as Anya drew closer.

"Good thing, too, cause the castle didn't send that along when we got here," York said. Though, unlike last time, he didn't seem too upset about not having his armor here - maybe it was because the place decided to let Delta live with him rather than separating them. And Delta himself seems happy, though he's easily distracted by all the sights and sounds at the busy pier.

"Anya," Delta said, looking serious, "are you adjusting well? York felt that this location would be suitable for an evening out."

And though the sun was still above the sea, it looked like they were going to get a spectacular sunset - probably because of the pollution, but in any case, it wasn't something to be missed. The pier itself buzzed with activity and there was what looked like a Ferris wheel and roller coaster down at the far end over the water.

The matching smiles, by the way, totally adorable, at least Anya thinks so. It had been a while since she'd seen York smile, adding to the mix Delta just made it even better. She was mostly just thrilled to be able to spend time with both of them.

"I think I'm adjusting alright. It's a bit in the future, I have to make sure that Sister doesn't get arrested, but I think I'm doing quite well at it."

Glancing around the pier, Anya smiled herself, happy to be out and it seemed everyone was having a good time. "So, what should we do first?" Besides, the obvious overwhelming urge for Anya to hug both of them.

If this is what it took for York to smile, maybe he'd been missing city life more than he ever let on. The City Royale wasn't quite the same, of course - York would point out the lack of delivery pizza, for one - but perhaps it was just being in a familiar place, even if it was five and a half centuries before his own time.

Of course, having his best friend around in physical form probably didn't hurt, either.

"Way in the past for me, but you knew that," York admitted. "And I'll post bail as long as it's nothing stupid like trying to seduce Ricky Rat. She gets arrested for that, she deserves it."

Delta looked like he was about to protest, but York shushed him with an "I'll explain later". Instead, he nodded at Anya. "I would recommend beginning here on the beach and working out way down the pier. Are you hungry?"
