Anya had no pets to confide in, and as such had been mostly changing her clothing a few dozen times. After about a dozen choices, she settled on a pair of shorts and an oversized hoodie, over a thin long sleeved shirt. It made sense somewhere in her mind to just be herself, and not worry about hurt feelings or awkward moments.

When he knocked on the door she took in a breath and let it out slowly, she'd read somewhere that sort of thing helped.

It didn't.

Anya couldn't leave him outside her door all night though, so she moved over to it, opening it and smiling, "Wally. Hello, are you ready to go to the beach with me as friends?"

He nodded, thinking it was awkward but sort of funny how she worded that.

"Yup, to the beach. I forgot to bring any towels. You okay with sitting in the sand?"
