River was certainly eager, there had to be answers out there somewhere. Even if they were only jigsaw pieces that would mean nothing individually. She needed to feel the dirt under her fingernails before Paradisa would feel real to her. Magical castle or not, she couldn't be content to just sit back and accept it. The castle almost made it too easy to do that, everything just a wish away ( ... )

He grinned, reaching for his coat as they neared the door.

"Allons-y!" Right, then! This could be a completely different planet, now; brand new, full of new twists and turns, if the sudden changes in the castle's layout, itself, were any indication. If the castle changed, expanded, then the planet could have done, too, right? Brand new things to explore! The Doctor pushed the door open and stepped out into the snow, sunlight of the early day beaming strong and pure through the trees.

There was always something so exhilerating about freshly fallen snow, especially at this time of day. The crunch under your feet, and the warmth of the sun on your face. You could be on any number of planets, and it still felt as fresh and as new every time.

"Right." River already had her compass out as she stood and circled for a moment. The mountains couldn't be seen for the thick tree trunks. The further your gaze went, the more they merged together, blocking out the view.

"Best way to head I reckon, is where we can't see what's behind? What do you think Mister Instinct?" But she was already striding ahead, despite the question.

"I think..." well, he didn't have much choice, did he? "... you just read my mind." Not that River wasn't going the way he would've gone, anyway, and so the Doctor strode along to be by her side, hands in his coat pockets, trying not to pay too much attention to the snow seeping through the canvas of his trainers, through his socks and - well.
