He should have known that the Doctor's other selves wouldn't have said a single word about the events of that week. It was typical of them. Whenever something did happen, they kept it in silence. They had done it to him with the information regarding the Time War. He had told them that they ought not to do that sort of thing again, lest the results end up horrid... and again it happened.

The Master slipped out of the Doctor's TARDIS - into their room and then out into the hall. The door across from theirs, the Sixth's, was open. He sighed for a moment before stepping over to it.

"My dear Doctor."

He said nothing more than that.

"Master," the Doctor said, giving a brief nod of acknowledgment. He moved to shut the door once the Master was inside. It was obvious that the other man wasn't especially looking forward to this and was waiting for the Doctor's signal. The Doctor hadn't quite decided how much he wanted to hear, just that he wanted answers.

He did, however, decide on one thing. "I would be more comfortable in my TARDIS for this." He stopped to gather up the kitten at his feet and turned back around to face the Master. "I assume the easiest way to show me these things would be Contact, hm?"

"Of course."

The Master politely inclined his head. He was used to the Doctor's TARDIS, in general, so he wasn't remotely surprised that the Sixth would want to stay in a sort of familiar place. After all, he generally would have done the same.

"Indeed. Contact is best; I've become far more used to it than I feel I ought to be. Situations, you understand, have called for me to use it frequently."

After that, the Master lightly gestured to the Doctor's TARDIS. "After you, my dear Doctor?"

He was tempted to not follow the man and just go back 'home', but he refused to let that show.

"Of course." The Doctor entered the comforting familiarity of his TARDIS and sighed. Home sweet home as they said. Perhaps it was less comforting to the Master but the Master volunteered for it. And even if he hadn't, the Doctor would have found a way to force him.

The Doctor set Alcyone down near the console and watched her wander away. "I should warn you, I have a...loss which makes Contact rather difficult for me." It was an oddly embarrassing thing to admit. It was something out of his control but times like this made him remember how frustrating it was.
