Upon hearing Azula's demanding voice outside of her room, Ty Lee shut her journal, then gracefully cartwheeled to the door. She'd been expecting her, but not quite so soon. She would have asked the castle to paint her room temporarily red instead of the pastel pinks. She had a feeling Azula would not be a happy princess, but it was too late to change that.

She flinched when she heard the sharp rapping on her door. Azula was angry. She could feel it, even through the wooden door seperating them. Taking a deep breath, Ty Lee opened the door widely and gave her friend a big, friendly smile.

"Hey, Azula!" she chirped, her arms open as though she wanted to embrace her. "Come in!"

Mai's shoulders hunched a bit as Azula's voice broke her concentration, the shuriken spinning clear off of her index finger and hitting the nightstand. Certainly Azula would have contacted her through those obnoxious journals, right? Then again, when Azula wanted something, she went out herself and got it.

"Coming." Mai said to no one in particular, knowing clearly that Azula couldn't hear her. Her voice had nowhere near the level of projection that Azula's did. Then again, Azula was an orator, Mai was just a follower.

She stepped out of her room, dragging her feet down the hall, shoulders slumped and posture a bit slouched as she walked over to see Ty Lee greeting Azula.

"What a cute scene."

Very briskly allowing Ty Lee to hug her -- the open arms were a bit much -- and patting Ty Lee on the back out of duty, Azula shrugged herself out of Ty Lee’s hug. She wasn’t in the mood for this, Ty Lee or not. Her eyes lifted, and she glanced at Mai coming towards them.

“Ty Lee, Mai, we have business to attend to. My brother has decided to join the Avatar and I’m not going to stand idly by while it happens, as it is an issue for the Fire nation,” she said. There was a slight pause where she folded her arms, and she added, almost as an afterthought, “Also, we’re trapped in what I believe is an enchanted castle in the spirit world. That is also a huge issue.”

She pushed by Ty Lee, into the room, and she sat down on the end of the bed. She folded one leg over the other, and tapped her fingers against her knee restlessly.

“We need to act fast.”

She gently closed the door behind her, leaning against the its frame, frowning. Mai felt her body tense at Azula's words, eyes widening just a bit, before narrowing into a predatory glare. He wouldn't..., she thought. It made no sense to her. He did tell her he was unhappy with his Father, but this? She felt overwhelmed with a mixture of emotions, not quite understanding what was going on through her own mind.

"He's on this floor, you know." Mai stated, almost regretting what she said the moment the words came out of her mouth. "So is that water bender." Her brows furrowed and she slumped a bit against the wall, averting her gaze away from her two friends, staring at the ground.

"I can't believe he didn't tell me this," she murmured lowly.

As for this place being the Spirit World, Mai could believe it. However, she had no answers at the time about that. She looked up at Azula, trying to keep a stoic expression up, but it was clear that she was disturbed by the news about Zuko.

"Zuko said that?~" Ty Lee squeaked, obviously taken aback. Wow. Now she understood why Azula was so furious -- but she couldn't wrap her head around why he had chosen to join the Avatar. What an idiot, she thought, glancing uneasily at her friends. Since when had Zuko had the nerve to stand up to his sister? He was in big trouble.

She sat in her chair, and her ears perked up at Mai's news. "Then Zuko and that waterbender girl must have planned this all along! Which is probably why he was acting totally weird."

Ty Lee fell into silence, then. She didn't want to be the one to set Azula off. Picking at her pants, she looked up at both of her friends and smiled tentatively at them.

"Don't worry," she said in her cheeriest tone, "we're here to help, Azula! What do you think we should do?"
