Setting her pen aside, Lucy Saxon looked at the final message in her dialog with the sixth Doctor and smiled briefly before closing her journal. He'd offered to share his red velvet cake with her and she'd accepted--partially because red velvet cake was a major weakness of hers and partially because she was quite curious about this new Doctor. So far, he seemed to be following his predecessor's example by not immediately writing her off. That won him some points with her.
She leaned over to the vanity to grab a brush and run it through her hair, and then stood to make sure the room wasn't a mess before the Doctor arrived.
