Like Ed, Loz had no idea what Ed looked like. He was human, that's all he knew. He walked out the front of the castle, clad in his usual leather getup, the Dual Hound strapped to his left wrist and the Velvet Nightmare to his left leg. He was probably going straight hand to hand, as that was more fun, but who knew where things would lead. Afterall Shichigo and Envy tore him to shreds last time, but Loz didn't really remember that anymore. He just wanted to become stronger. For Mother.

Loz looked around, his green cat-like eyes narrowing to adjust to the bright sunlight. No one was in sight, except that yellow and red post. Wait, was that post always there? It was really short. Was it moving?

[ooc: sorry it took so long, the network went down right as i was posting T_T]

Ed had resolved himself to be patient. After all, the castle was a freakishly big place, and the "elevators" had been on the fritz for a while. Still he couldn't help glancing at the front door every now and then. Maybe now... nope. Wait a little longer. Now... nope. Ed tapped his flesh fingers on his automail arm.

Finally he saw someone approach. Ed's eyes went wide. WHOA, that guy was tall. He turned to get a better look. The height and muscular build kind of reminded him of Major Armstrong. Ed didn't even consider that this could possibly be Loz. One: the guy looked pretty human to Ed, and two: he looked too old to mesh with Ed's mental image. Still, Ed liked meeting new people in the castle.

He moved to greet the newcomer, beaming up at him. "Hey there."

So that wasn't a post after all. It was someone really short. Loz stared at him with his green eyes. He wasn't good at greetings, save, Wanna play?, which probably wouldn't work in this case. Not all humans could play Loz-style. Lana had told Loz this a good number of times. He was starting to understand this now, especially after this past week. This past week.... bad thought.... no thinking about that now. Can't change the past.

And so, back on the subject, Loz spoke up. "You seen someone named Ed?"

Ed had to step back a bit so he wouldn't strain his neck staring up at this guy. There was tall, and there was ridiculously tall. This guy was in the "ridiculously tall" category.

"Well, I'm Ed!" he answered. "Ed Elric. I know another Ed that's a girl, but that's it." He hadn't seen the girl Ed recently, and if this guy was looking for him, Ed wondered what he could want.

Playing with his Dual Hound, as was his habit, he smirked at the thought of battle. Not taking it easy on Ed wasn't a problem. Afterall, humans have been able to keep up with his standard speed and strength before. Tifa was an excellent match until Loz kicked it into high speed. Rude and Reno? Bombs aside, they weren't much of a match for Loz. Then again, after Rude got pwned by a street sign, it wasn't much of a battle anyway.

Loz outstretches his arm a bit. "Let's play," he said in his usual battle greeting.

"Sounds fun," Ed responded. He eyed that weapon thoughtfully. It was nothing he was familiar with, so it was probably a good idea to avoid it if he could. Ed usually liked making the first move, and after a few seconds of thought selected his target area.

One plus to being small(er) was how he could control his body. Taking it at a run, Ed flipped himself so his automail foot would make contact directly into Loz's stomach.
