Speed walked in a moment later, fully chipper. He was having a grand time with the journal today. Besides that, he was truly well and interested in these "energy crystals" of this guy's. Sounded like something out of a sci-fi novel...

Speed headed for the tables and looked around. There was at least one interesting looking fellow, and there was a box full of... yes, rocks, crystals, whatever they were... sitting there next to him on the table. He headed in that direction and hoped his deductive reasoning was right. It should be, dang-it. He was a CSI!

"Hey. Stork?"

The merb's ears perked up at his name. "Eh?" he looked around for the voice. And saw what appeared to be a fairly normal looking human. Thank God. At least humans were tolerable, for the most part.

"You must be Speed." He stood up and cleared his throat. "You... ahh... wanted to see these?" he picked a crystal out of the box; an oblong one glowing blue.

"Yea," Speed started to hold out his hand to shake, but the fellow grabbed a crystal before he could get around to it. He dropped his hand back down and examined the rock instead. The fact that he failed to mention the fact that the guy was green attested the the fact that he had been here entirely too long.

"Interesting," he finally said after a moment of looking. He glanced up at Stork and started to raise his hand (again). "Do you mind?" He held out his hand for the rock/crystal.

Not that Stork would have shaken his hand anyway. Too many germs. And here he was, without his disinfectant. He could have kicked himself.

"Eh? Oh... right..." he handed the crystal over. "That one, in particular, is an Engine Crystal... used in... engines... of course... heh..." He dug around in the box. "Hmm... I don't remember putting these in here..." he muttered.
