"Wasn't it~? You should try running a lap through the whole castle, I swear, some of the people have the strangest names here!!"
So Sonic said quickly between bites of his chili dogs. Sure, the food here was good, but somehow, it just wasn't the same as the ones Amy used to make. Letting out a defeated sigh, Sonic moved on to his next chili dog.
"So, which brother do I remind you of anyway, Donnie?"
Donnie rolled his eyes good-naturedly at Sonic as he dug into his pizza. "I dunno, I've heard some pretty strange names before."
Donatello was impressed. That was the fastest he's ever seen a person eat. Was that kid even tasting those dogs?
"Michelangelo. We called him Mikey. He always seemed to be the youngest, even though we're all technically the same age. He's just so light hearted and enthusiastic about everything. Heh. He even got a job working at children's parties." Donnie's voice had a nostalgic tone to it as he described the brother he was closest to. It's only been two, three months, and Donatello missed his family terribly. It's not that Raph was bad company, but the brothers always felt better when they were together.
"Wow, Italian name? And working with kids? Really?"
Sonic paused in his eating to look at Donnie, then to think about his own 'brother'. Sure, Tails and he weren't real brothers, but they've been together for pretty much ever, and well... Sonic couldn't quite imagine how he could've gotten out of some of the fights without the kit with him. The only downside? If only Tails would stop falling asleep out of bed, and the experiments would stop blowing up in his face.
"You kinda remind me of a friend. Almost like a little brother, honestly. He loves tinkering, and well..." Sonic snickered a bit at the memory, "He always fell asleep when he was researching something. I always ended up finding him in the living room with blueprints as a pillow."
Turning to look at the turtle, Sonic added, "I guess that makes us a make-shift family for now, ne?"
Donnie nodded. "Splinter named all of us after Renaissance artists. Besides myself and Mikey, there's also Raphael, who's here, and Leonardo."
The turtle snickered along with Sonic as he bit into his pizza. Well, that scenario sounded familiar, seeing as how it happened not even ten minutes ago. "It sounds like I would have gotten along with your friend very well."
With a sigh, Donatello stared off into space as he thought about what Sonic said. There was no stronger bond than the one within a family, be it blood or adopted, and Lord knows that in Paradisa you need as many friends and family as you can get. "I guess it does. So, little brother, what do you say we finish up breakfast and go outside to train? After all," Donnie said with a smile, "you did say you having trouble fighting properly."
Sonic grinned and swallowed the last of his chili dog before nodding. Ignoring the 'little brother' comment (because chances were that Donatello was probably older than him), he happily agreed to the suggesting of training.
Because he needed to figure out how to fight properly in this body, in case anything should happen. And judging by the random explosions and the myriad of people, he'll need to get used to it fast.
