[Thread] Bit of a Stressful Lunch

Speakin' of ...

Kaylee let out a frustrated sigh. Figures he'd come and nearly break down the door when things were starting to move towards the nice and cuddly. She looked at Drizzt and rolled her eyes. What a way to start things off. A quick kiss and she was heading to the door.

"I'm comin' Jayne, stop tryin' to break down my door!" She hollered right back at him before opening said door. "Heya Jayne. Food's over there on the table already. Ribs an' such just like ya wanted."

She motioned over to where the dark elf stood. "Jayne, that's Drizzt. Drizzt, this is Jayne."

To the drow, an individual who stands with arms crossed over the chest is indicating a desire for friendship. Or as close to the idea of friendship as the drow, as a whole, can get. Early on in his adventures on the surface, Drizzt had learned that to cross his arms was to be seen as potentially hostile. So, when Kaylee opened the door, the dark elf dropped his arms to his sides, trying to appear as non-threatening as possible.

Drizzt had seen enough human males to know that they tended to be taller and broader than drow, so he was not surprised to see that Jayne was larger than him. He was pleased to note that the man was not carrying any visible weapons. That boded well. Right?

Deciding to get the meeting off on a friendly note, Drizzt smiled at the man and said pleasantly, "Good afternoon, Jayne."
