But back on to the more dire situation at hand. The speedster was running up the stairs to the fifteenth floor when he heard someone call his name. Spinning around and running backwards (which was a big gamble, what with the random puppies) Sonic focused his attention on...
... Oh. There's one.
"Hey, Freezie, over here!!" He called before darting over to the other teen. Blunt names for the absolute win.

"Hey Sonic. Didn't find him yet, huh?" And what WAS up with all the puppies running around, anyway? "He's being surprisingly subtle during this." Probably not for long, though. Bummer they had to meet this way, too.
"Ready to go?"

Sonic was tapping his foot anxiously. From what he'd heard and seen, this place really didn't enjoy the random flames or explosions. Why that was, Sonic could never figure out. Maybe it was like the people in Station Square.
"Come on, we have to leave now before Py decides to do something stupid or someone decides to talk him into doing something dumb."
That said, Sonic darted off in the direction he was originally headed, calling over his shoulder:
"And what are you waiting for?"

Bobby could have laughed at some of the things Sonic said, in a completely non-teasing sort of way. 'Before Py decides to do something stupid'? Yeah right. Everything that guy did was stupid. 'Before someone decides to talk him into doing something dumb'? That'd be too easy. Case in point? Magneto and those cure clinics.
He sighed a bit, but it was only quick, as suddenly Sonic was gone. "Woah..." That guy really was fast. But soon enough, Bobby was gliding on his ice to try and catch up.
He gave a laugh. "Nothing, speedy. Let's go."

Pyro was drunk. Seriously, what the heck is up with that?! And so not cool either.
"... Something's up..."
Green eyes focused on the door, and his ears were twitching. Seriously, there was something up with the tempurature. However, Sonic never was one for thinking actions through all the way, that was Tails' job, after all.
"I say we knock down the door. This place fixes itself, right? It shouldn't be that bad."
Reply
"No kidding 'something's up'." Couldn't deny that, and how John wasn't roasting in there was beyond Bobby, the whole Iceman thing aside even. The head was starting to come out through the door. This couldn't be good.
"Sounds good to me. Can you knock it down? I'll cool the place off before they suffocate in there." He stepped aside a bit to stand behind Sonic instead, should he accept the job.
"John, since no one's there, you sure the hell better not be in front of the door, got it?" he shouted.

Heat didn't bother him. He'd held flames close to his hands often enough that he could have his palm flat on a lit grill and not even notice it for a few seconds. There was nothing new or insufferable about the way his room felt, now.
Which was to say, even in his drunken stupor, he recognized the mechanics of Bobby's powers, and of his own. He'd burned just about all the water out of the air. If the Iceman wanted to come charging in, then so be it; he just wasn't going to freeze anything in there but himself.
Fidget, unfortunately, had started to trot over to the door as soon as he heard voices outside, forcing John to lean over drunkenly to grab him. Hauling him back into his lap and leaning his shoulders against the end of the bed, John grinned like a fool and waited for them to bust down his door.

... Oh thank god they didn't take his kicking power, seeing as how the door was knocked open easily enough. That and he that was used to hot places, because damn heat wave much?
"Whoa!! What the he-"
Yup, Ice Cap Zone and Red Mountain were live savers.

As soon as Sonic kicked down the door (Impressively for such a little guy, Bobby might add), he reached his hands back. "Outta the way, Sonic," he warned, thrusting his hands forward to ice the doorway and a good part of the entrance of Pyro's room over.
First thing he noticed once he was able to see inside, was that, thank god, he hadn't actually harmed the puppy. It even seemed happy. So Pyro got a few points there. Okay, like half a point.
"John what the hell are you doing? Your room is on fire." Real good thing Sonic was there. This wasn't how he saw their reunion (if they were to have one) ever being.

He leaned back on the edge of the bed so he could look at the ceiling. "Don't you feel it?" He uncurled his fingers from behind the puppy's ear and pointed dubiously at his chest as though Bobby was dumb for not being able to see what he was talking about, "right here. On fire."
He grinned. "It feels nice."
Then he sat bolt upright again, startling Fidget into barking at him once, before he stared at the doorway now icy. "Hey, you suck!"
Fire from the ceiling blossomed in reverse, like lava flowing back into a volcano as it tumbled towards Bobby's ice.

First thing first.
The former hedgehog darted inside the blazing room quickly (After the dog barked) and (tried) to pull the puppy out, but then Pyro changed the direction of the flames. So right now, there were three choices: a) dodge the flames till they were iced, b) knock out Pyro or c) just get out.
... Well then, let's get the puppy out, then make sure Freezie and Py don't kill each other.

"Hey, Freezie, you think you could put the flames out now that Py's gone under,"
If he were still a hedgehog, then he could easily run up the wall and put out the flames, but being unused to this body (the height and weight were wrong) so many of his old techniques need to be relearnt... Dammit!
The most he could do now was make sure the flames didn't reach the floor (and that the drunk didn't wake up).

A concussion at this point would be all too welcome. But a nap was close enough. He stood up, trusting that Sonic could keep an eye on John and make sure he didn't wake up.
"I'll try my best." he nodded to Sonic. The lack of moisture was only a small problem. Luckily he had other abilities he could turn to before making himself solid ice and rolling around in the flames. The general basis of his power was to absorb heat and be rid of it, so though it may take a little longer, he gave it a shot.
