Faith was bored. She couldn't really say she minded it after spending all that time getting on Eddie's good side and teaching the other inmates to play nice. After the first few scuffles, everyone knew better than to pick a fight with her. Heh, now she was picking 'em.
So she was running a bit late, what else was new. Stepping into the courtyard, Faith looked around. Guess she should've asked what he looked like. Someone was definitely here. Thanks, slayery senses.
"Yo, we playing hide and seek now?" She peered around, trying to spot someone. Nothing. Great.
Raphael edged around to the other side of the courtyard to get another view of his little playmate. She was pretty as far as humans went. For a moment Raph felt jealous. The emotion was lost shortly however as he focused on concentrating. It was only one more thing he had to be envious of humans for and it was not like he could do anything about it. He let it slide off him.
He gave her a few moments to pout in his non-existent presence as he sulked in the shadows. His eyes narrowed suddenly and he flashed across the other side of the courtyard once again.
Suddenly he was behind Faith. He thought about his pair of sai, dismissed them for the moment, then allowed himself to make a bit of scuffling noise just to get her attention. He was a ninja--but this was a fair fight.
He waited a moment after the noise then spoke softly. "Yea, I'm here. You ready?" He almost didn't wait for an answer, his hand came up, but again he realized this was a lady and he kept himself in check.
Being a slayer meant having enhanced senses. Be as stealthy as you want, she knew you were around and Faith wasn't one to let her guard down.
She spun around at the noise behind her, arms up in a ready stance. A cocky reply was on her lips, but she stopped when she saw him. A demon, gotta be. What the hell was this thing? Faith grinned wickedly at him.
"Didn't know I was getting a fight with a demon. You Raphael or you my warm up?"
Raph's posture straightened up a bit and looked somewhat haughty under the accusation. He sneered. "Why is it you humans always gotta go and call a turtle a demon?"
He shook his head then opened his eyes back to stare at his opponent in the non-focus intensity a martial artist knows to use best. He jerked his head upwards in a gesture to point to her. "Faith, was it? In answer: yes, I'm Raphael."
He went into a quick spin kick from there. It was followed immediately by a two punch combo before he settled back into a defensive martial arts posture.
