Kadaj had been working very hard ever since those creatures showed up. They kept coming and he kept fighting them off. Thinking of the people he cared about who couldn't fight-- his "brother" Touya, Lana-- kept him going. That, and it'd been a while since he got to fight and be confident about it. He was having fun again. He really missed that

Lana had had time to clean up from her frantic running around all week and she was happy for it. She had rested, as well, thanks to Magnius

Of the hugs Kadaj had exerienced so far, this kind seemed to be the happy kind. Happy because they were both safe and unharmed. It still took him a moment to react to Lana embracing him, though. He was a bit more comfortable with this whole hugging thing but not so much that he didn't stand helplessly for a few seconds before he reacted. His arms moved around to hug back, carefully but with enough strength to show his happiness that she was okay.

"Lana," he breathed in relief. "You're all right." She was mumbling something to him. Probably words expressing how relieved she was that he was okay as well. "I came here as soon as I could. I apologize if I'm a mess." She probably wouldn't care but he still wanted to give an excuse for his rather messy appearance.

Lana giggled softly at his apology and shook her head before looking up at him, her face making it very clear that she was absolutely radiently pleased to see him.
"Don't apologize, Kadaj. You're alright and that's all that matters to me right now."

She stood on her tiptoes. It was unecessary but it made her next action more comfortable since she WAS much shorter than him. She then, leaving one arm around him casually, reached up and wiped one of the streaks of blood from his face and smiling brightly before she turned, taking his hand to pull him into the room after her. "Come on, we can at least get some of this blood cleaned off of you," She said to him cheerfully.

Kadaj was somewhat familiar with moving pictures but he was too tired to think that this thing he was watching wasn't real. Some of his weariness left him as he watched the action unfold. However hard he tried to pay attention, it was difficult to understand everything. He never heard of "France" or "England" so of course wouldn't be able to understand why the protagonist was jailed. Lana would explain it all to him later.

He turned his head so his cheek could be cushioned on the couch. He tried to keep watching but his eyes felt heavy. Letting them close for a moment wouldn't hurt. He was out in a matter of minutes.

Lana glanced over in time to see him close his eyes. She was shocked he fell asleep SO quickly. She smiled very softly then paused the movie to get up and went to her bed to get a pillow. She hated to wake him but she couldn't let him sleep like that. He'd wake up with kinks and muscle pains everywhere.

She leaned over so her face was near his and stroked his hair softly to wake him, "Kadaj..." she said gently. "Wake up, buddy, you need to lay down."

She looked at the couch. It wasn't long enough for him to lay down and her to sit there...sure it was.
She set the pillow in her lap then reached over to touch Kadaj's arm and pat the top of the pillow in a way that suggested 'c'mon, lay here.' She planned on finishing the movie.

He hadn't even notice he'd fallen asleep. Having been roused by Lana, Kadaj looked startled that he'd dozed off. He was a lot more worn out than he first thought. He felt he should apologize to Lana. How rude of him to sleep during the moving pictures. But she didn't seem to mind. She was offering him another place to rest his head. On her lap.

"Thank you," he said with a note of shyness. It would just be for a few minutes. It was probably his intense weariness that helped him not feel too weird about having his head in Lana's lap. Though he still looked uncertain for a few moments before taking the invitation. It felt very comfortable, his body curling up so he was almost in a fetal position. He could feel that he was going to drop off again. "Lana," he called softly. "Is it all right for me to rest?"

Lana smiled at him when he thanked her and even more when he curled up into a position that would allow him to sleep comfortably. How could someone who had just come in from killing things be so damn cute?

"Lana?"

"Hmm?" she inquired quietly, glancing down at him. When he asked his next question she could have died. Melted, rather. CUTE! Cute killing machine!
She laughed softly and brought her hand up to pet his hair. "Sleep, love," she said gently.

She continued to stroke his hair as she allowed her attention to drift back to the movie. It was nice that he was there. So what if what Reno said about Kadaj was true. So what if he was a killer by nature. He was her killer and she loved him despite it.
