After the fact, Bart was finally beginning to wonder what kind of opponent this Superboy "Prime" would turn out to be. He'd gone ahead and acted tough and accepted this challenge, but he really knew nothing about this guy, other than he was trying to fill Bart's head with stories that couldn't possibily be true.
He wouldn't back out, though. This was his fight, and he'd do it for Conner. If worse came to worse, he could always run. Or he could call on Superman and Raven, but he'd rather save that for the very last.
A red and yellow blur found its way through the castle and off the grounds. Oh yes, he'd even gone far enough to wear his actual superhero get-up. It was a small disadvantage that he couldn't fly, but hey. Admittedly he was impressed this psycho had the decency to get away from the castle.

“You aren’t wearing Barry’s costume this time, Bart?” That was the last one that he saw him in.

Bart had to raise a brow at the first words he heard. Honestly, he had no idea what this loon was going on about most every time he said anything. "Grandpa?" he asked, trying not to laugh at Superboy-Prime. "Sorry to disappoint, but I'm pretty sure I have a few years to grow into that." It was a hard decision to choose between sticking his tongue out or smirking, but he chose the latter. "So is this a fashion show or what?"

Superboy’s eye started to glow bright red and he suddenly fired his heat beam again straight out at Bart. He couldn’t tale him back into the Speedforce by himself. So he had no reason to fear him. Instead he was going to demolish him. The entire Teen Titans couldn’t stop him, so what chance did one little speedster have?

No, running wasn't all Bart could do, but at the moment, it was all he could think of. That was, until Conner got brought into it. Conner and Tim, better known as Superboy and Robin, were Bart's best friends in the Titans and probably everywhere else, too. He couldn't stand this psycho talking about Superboy like that.
"Take. That. BACK!" he cried, intending to come forward at Superboy-Prime, though the tremoring earth got to him first. He fell down in his distraction, and growing fatigue, but quickly forced himself to stand again, brushing himself off.
"You could never kill Conner, got it?! If you're going to backtalk someone, backtalk me! At least I'm here to be able to prove you wrong." Bart glared, rushing forward again, this time considerably angry himself. It probably wasn't a good idea to make a direct attack on Superboy-Prime, but he'd try, swinging his fists towards the other's face.
[And since Bart's getting stupid/tired I won't post until Superman comes in ♥]

“You are just like Conner. He came at me in the same way when I was about to kill his girlfriend.” The difference between then and now was when he grabbed Conner’s hand, he broke it too.
“You don’t have to believe it. You don’t have to accept it. IT DOESN’T MATTER WHAT YOU DO ANYMORE. CAUSE YOU AREN’T GOING TO BE HERE MUCH LONGER.”
[<3 I’ll leave it there for Superman to come save the day. ]

Of course, all of this stress had been set aside when sensitive ears picked up yells, shouts, and crumbling Earth. He couldn't rush off right away, but when he managed to get away from Lois, he practically tossed off his Glasses, and leapt into the air in usual Superman bravado, spinning out of his clothes and into his suit midair on his way out to see what was going on.
He wasn't expecting Bart...and...Superboy.
Clark swallowed hard, and flew at breakneck speeds, rushing to break off Superboy-Prime's hold on Bart's hands attempting to shield the boy if he did manage to let off any eye-lasers. He wasn't completely invulnerable, but...he could manage to divert the lasers so they wouldn't hit anything vital. He ( ... )

"STOP IT! I'm telling you, THAT NEVER HA---" Enter Superman. On one hand, Bart was relieved. He'd almost reached his limit as far as energy went. This round couldn't be won by him. But on the other hand, he was a little upset that Clark had to be the one to save him. Apparently it was the second time, as well. What it came down to was the fact that he wanted someday to prove that he didn't need the help, no matter how grateful he happened to be.
"Kuh..." he muttered as he was shielded. He managed his usual grin at Superman, hiding his wear and tear, "Superman, you've really gotta work on your timing. I coulda grown old waiting for you." It was his subtle, and completely irrelevant way of saying Go on and kick some ass then!
