His one good eye searching the landscape, Hichigo finally spotted oone of the creatures, excitement quickly rising up in the Hollow. This fight would be worth risking getting the Shinigami on his tail again, he could tell.
Drawing Zangetsu off his back, he stopped a few feet behind the sitting akuma, pointing the large white and black blade at the sitting thing. "You wanna play with me~?" he singsonged happily, dark tongue darting to lick thin white lips in anticipation of the game to come. "I've been so bored lately..."

Her mood didn't get any better when she finally spotted the thing... and Hichigo. "What are you doing here?!" she demanded as she ran to his side, glaring, even though she already knew in some ways it was a stupid question. Without waiting for an answer she turned her attention to the akuma, and raised a brow. Well, that was lovely. The thing's presence gave her a constant unpleasant buzz in her head, and she grimaced. She couldn't help but wonder what sort of unpleasant surprise it undoubtedly had waiting.

He blinked, turning to look at Tatsuki in brief surprise, before he grinned slightly. "Playing, of course~ I thought you said you were staying inside?" he asked in turn, hoping that this would be the chance to see those gauntlets Tatsuki had been speaking of. He wouldn't worry too much about her-- he knew just as well as his aibou that Tatsuki hated people worrying about her. Besides, she was strong in her own right.
He turned back to fix his gaze on the akuma, crossing his arms over his chest and snorting. "Stupid thing, stop ignoring me," he muttered, anxious to get the game started.

"I'm not ignoring you," was its simple response.

She jumped a little when the thing spoke. Her initial reaction was to be shocked that it could talk; she hadn't known they could. Her next immediate reaction was to wonder why it hadn't done anything yet.
... well, they might as well get this started somehow.
"That so?" she called out. "Then what are you doing?"
