Renji was frustrated and emotionally confused right now. His week had not been good-- from having to break it to Momo that he couldn't remember her, then Rukia getting sick, and finally to that guy being killed, he had had more than enough of this place right now.

When he heard the yelling outside the Shinigami rushed to the window, sticking his head out sixteen stories above the ground to try and see what the hell was going on. That's when he spotted the terrible creature, shrieking for toys and making a general chaotic mess of things. He growled low in his throat, the sound coming out to rather resemble that of an angry dog's, and he pulled himself back inside so that he could eject himself from his gigai.

With that he flew out the window, dark shihakusho whipping about his body as he fell towards the ground, pulling Zabimaru out of its sheath as he hit the ground and ran towards the monster, running his hand along the blade to change it to its shikai form. "Oi, weirdo! Come get it!" he called, slashing at the beast.

Judas was beginning to think going to the city for information was still a bad idea. The citizens still would not give out their much needed knowledge or would spout jibberish.

"Uneventful, waste of time..." The young man muttered under his breath. He soon reached the castle gates where he found his mood soured more than it had been already by some bouncy monster. The Akuma that Duke-guy was going on about? He never expect that man's word to be true.

Sighing to himself and drawing his rapier, he took back his earlier statement. Going to the city was the worst idea he had.

If someone had considered it's laughter before to painstakingly harsh on the ear drum, that was a whisper compared to its reaction now at seeing Renji run at him to attack. Clapping it's massive hands once a shriek of laughter echoed in the air, swinging its head around its body once, coming to a stop in front of the head implanted in its middle.

"I LIKE TO PLAY!"

One of its deformed hands rose up and swung forward to catch the incoming attack. Its head on the other unraveled itself, streaking forward without warning, its jaws open wide to clamp down on Judas where he stood.

Renji nearly released Zabimaru's hilt to cover his ears when the thing screamed, his head ringing and his vision temporarily blurring from the sound alone. It made him dizzy, and he barely noticed when his sword was caught.

Growling, Renji pulled it back to strike again, then saw the head heading for the other man. "SHIT!" Reciting a familiar incantation in his head, he poured all his concentration into it: Oh ruler, mask of flesh and blood, all creations of the universe, fluttering of the wings, ye who bears the name of man! Scorching heat and disorder, split the seas and send the waves surging south!! "HADOU THIRTY-ONE-- SHAKKAHOU!!" The kidou spell fired at the body, and Renji hoped it would connect and end up distracting the head from the other man.

Judas gritted his teeth to keep himself from screaming. His poor ears! He recovered quick enough to sidestep and avoid getting bitten. He didn't need that again. He ran back, ears still ringing, eyes still on the monster.

He drew his other sword and prepared to run back to attack if the thing was distracted.
