Recently, Irvine had been thinking a lot. This wasn't any cause for alarm, oh no, for the cowboy wasn't as air-headed as some of his more "friendly" habits made him seem, but whenever he got to thinking he liked to walk. There was just something about being on the move, even without a des-no, especially without a destination in mind, that did wonders for him. It made the little details that were nibbling at his mind like tiny creatures fade out and seem completely unimportant. Sure, taking a walk wouldn't make his worries go away, but it sure gave him some nice temporary relief.

As he moved along, he hummed a little tune that seemed familiar but that he couldn't place. It was then that Irvine, not looking down or paying much attention at all, honestly, almost ran right into the little lady.

He pulled up short, the tune leaving his lips, and gave a short shout.

"Whoah~! Hey now. Sorry about that. I didn't mean to...well, I almost trampled you there. Are you alright?"

[[ooc; lemme know if it's not okay~]]

Nill wouldn't have to wait for too long before a girl had appeared at the end of the hall, carefully making her way towards a familiar sound; the fluttering of wings. She had committed it to memory, a sound that reminded her of birds, and it had served well its purpose.

Now, however, she stopped just short of the girl and attempted to register the new, foreign sound. A shout? It wasn't the wolves, it wasn't Kiba, but the voice sounded just as kind, the owner would not hurt her. She regarded them both kindly, quietly, as she linked her hands behind her and tilted her face.

"Nill?"

((You're good, Irvine-mun. ♥ Open log, after all. Irvine-Cheza-Nill posting order :o?))

Nill had jumped when she first noticed the man coming down the hall and quickly stood when he regarded her, journal in hand. She nodded a little uneasily, unsure of who this person was. She tried to still her wings, but they still gave a twitch every now and then. She took a step back from the man, a wary look in her eye.

Then, there was the sound of more footsteps. She peered around the man to see a woman coming down the hall. This woman stopped short and said her name.

If Nill could, she would ask if the woman were Cheza, but...well. No voice. So, she offered a meek wave to both the man and the woman.

It must have been only a moment after he'd spoken to the girl when another voice was as well. Irvine looked over (down, really) at the newcomer's face. It was another girl, this one looking as young and lost as the first. He almost opened his mouth to say something (what he wasn't sure just yet, and usually wasn't until it actually came out) but then the first little lady waved.

Irvine arched an eyebrow slightly, but decided to just wave back. Alright. This wasn't going badly at all. At least it seemed like he'd run into the two least possibly dangerous residents of Cair Paradisa.

"Ah, hi." the cowboy finally threw out there. "I'm Irvine. Irvine Kinneas. This is...pretty random, but not altogether unpleasant! Who're you pretty ladies?"

[[ooc;...one of these days, I will -remember- to tack all threads. soz for the delay. ♥]]

"Irvine," Cheza tested the name on her lips before she nodded, and seemed to look from him to Nill. "This one is Cheza, and she is Nill." She stepped forward but didn't dare move any closer, at least for a time. Skittish? Maybe, it was strange being without the pack, without being protected by Kiba.

Though she hadn't expected to meet a second person, she took the surprise in stride, nodding towards his voice. She had questions, so many questions, but she opted to settle into the brief air of quiet that had settled over them.

Meeting new people, it was always strange.
