[Rin picks berries here and there, without ever leaving Tad's back, and stops often to give the birds curious glances. She always likes finding living things in the world beyond - evidence that Paradisa is rich with life, outside the castle's dominion.]

but he's trailing around examining the berries too, pausing to cut off a small branch with his blade. when he sees her examining the berries too, he stops in his tracks. ]

Do you think they're okay to eat?

[Rin glances at him from rolling a few berries thoughtfully in her hand, smiling briefly.]

You know, pretty much everything we've tried out here in Paradisa has been okay, somehow... though I don't think we should get reckless.

That sounds like you have a lot of experience out here.

Mm, well... I've been on a lot of the expeditions. To the spiders, to the fog, to Flora's place... not on the very first one, but since then I like to explore out here.

[ mid is somewhere behind you. tad is getting a semi-curious appraisal ]

[ he's not moving as quietly as he can, but still, he's mildly impressed. he moves a bit closer, but slowly. he can tell that this animal is probably the protective kind ]

[After a moment, Rin takes note of Tad's swiveled ears and turns to look over her shoulder curiously.]

Seen a few like him around. Natives?

Oh - [She blinks, recognizing the voice, and then smiles.] We should be so lucky. His name's Tadaharu, Tad for short, and he came back with me from a world change.

I've been thinking about taking on some other Arcanine and training them, though.

They have some kind of ability?

Mmm... yep, he does. Plus, he can run super fast, for a long time - and they're sentient.

Well, he's still a sprinter and probably a better mount than any horse... but his special powers, yeah, they don't work anymore.
