[WHAT IS THIS GNOME SHIT? Alleria is looking around with her hands on her hips, a very sour expression on her face. This is all dumb, so dumb! Tehcnology!! Pah!]
SERVICE AREA paradisamodsNovember 16 2011, 22:19:13 UTC
It's just as dark here as it was everywhere else, but the close quarters at least make it easier to illuminate everything. It's pretty standard as far as service areas go.
There's an employee locker, complete with employees' jackets hanging on hooks, work boots, tool kits, all sorts of things. Someone's half-eaten lunch is laid out on a bench, and the owner -- a skeleton, yuck -- is sitting next to it, perfectly frozen in place, a petrified lunch-meat sandwich half-way to its flopping jaw.
There's an office, and a poorly kept one at that. The walls are lined with book cases loaded with boxes of disorganized paperwork, all in the same unintelligible language that had been carved into the tomb's front door. The desk is strewn with it, too. Another skeleton occupies the room, sitting behind the desk with its head in its hands, in a gesture of bleak frustration.
There's an "engine room", too, full of boxes of scrap metal and computer chips.
[Five runs up behind him, nearly bashing into him, but stops just in time. he's unfazed by the skeleton ... in fact, he wanders up to it and takes a pencil out of his pocket, using it to prod the remains of the sandwich]
Poor soul didn't die of starvation, whoever he was ... I wonder what happened, here?
DOWN THE TUNNELparadisamodsNovember 16 2011, 22:19:30 UTC
Climbing down in front of the train and onto the tracks will put you in the mouth of the tunnel. There doesn't seem to be anything blocking the way, that they can see, anyway, but there is a deep, heavy breathing noise reverberating down the tunnel. There are puddles on the ground, but the liquid is thick and viscous. It's more like saliva than water. Do you want to tread closer...?
[Leave it to a Windrunner to be the one that dares venture down into the tunnel. She leaps down, landing lightly on her feet--though one foot does get caught in a rather large puddle. She wrinkles her nose before reaching down to take a bit of the liquid between her fingers.]
[Five's hauled a good amount of tools and parts over to the car from the service area... and the panel's open. now it's just a matter of putting the puzzle together.

I cannot say. Whatever it is, I do not advise touching it. [Brb sis, trying to yank her foot free from the goo]
