Lente's Point Expedition - Night 1

[The day begins to come to a close as the expedition presses on. The coming darkness is even more obvious in the dim light of the canopy, and it soon becomes clear enough that a halt would have to be called.

Felix kicks his horse forward so that he's near the head of the group. Hopefully, with people wandering off here and there to investigate they'

[She's been keeping to the perimeters for the most part, trying to see how well she can track and scout using normal eyesight and no chakra. The only way to see is just to...do it.

If she notices his comings-and-goings, she gives him only the briefest of glances for the most part. Because trying to see in the night is hard work.]

[ for his part, he does notice hinata, on his first and second trips. the third time around, when she sees him, he's going to be several feet away ]

Not sleepy?

[She starts when she hears his voice. Because she was expecting them to go the night just...acknowledging that the other was there in silence.]

I-I'm not used to sleeping much while on such...trips. How about yourself?

[deminuit]

[ nah; a quiet girl by herself gets noticed. also he can be nice sometimes ]

I'm not used to resting at all on trips like these, but. [ a shrug ]

I...think I know what you mean. With so many people, it gets hard trying to find something to do.

[deminuit]

[ he was more referring to the fact that he would have travelled all through the night if he was alone but she has a point there too. ]

So this is what you settled on? Keeping watch?

[sunnyheiress]

Yes... It's what I'd normally do back home in similar situations. And, well...since I-I wasn't tired... [She trails off and looks away. Then discreetly clears her throat and does her best to look back at him.]

Are you doing to same? I-I've noticed you've been coming and going.

[deminuit]

[ he nods briefly ] Not going to sleep, so I might as well. You sure you don't want to rest a little for tomorrow?

[sunnyheiress]

[She smiles and shakes her head.]

I-I might later, but...I'll be fine. There will be enough time to sleep when we get back to the castle.

[deminuit]

[ he just nods again ]

You spot anything out here?

[sunnyheiress]

No, not really... Aside from what seems to be those horse-like creatures and the others on the trip. It's... Well, I-I suppose we should be glad nothing seems wrong.

[deminuit]

I'd say 'knock on wood', but I actually wouldn't mind having something to do right now.

[sunnyheiress]

[Hinata smiles at that. She gets that feeling.]

Mm.. It would be nice. But I don't know how everyone else would feel about that. They seem to like this quiet..

[deminuit]

[ shrug ] And we do have kids here.

What do you do at home?

[sunnyheiress]

Oh, I...I didn't even notice that we did. [And now she's thinking there's kids like...under the age of ten on the trip.] Then, if something does happen, hopefully it's not near them.

And [A pause as she tries to word this in a way that doesn't sound crazy...] I-I'm a ninja back home. Um, anyway... What do you do?

[deminuit]

Yeah.

[ ninja? nah, he's heard way stranger. and he can tell that she does something physical ] There are worse occupations to have. I'm a superhero; case in point.
