[Gordon's in the lobby, fighting off a horde of zombies with his trusty ole shotgun. Lucky thing he keeps them all cleaned and full of ammo, because you never know when something like this is going to happen.

It does feel a lot like home, though, and he can't help it if there's a bit of a grin on his face.]

[This absolutely-ordinary-with-no-super-human-strength-whatsoever boy had been unlucky enough to be outside when those things started coming. At least the castle gave him a gun.

...Only, he has no aim. At all. Watch out?]

[Gordon dodges a stray bullet as a reflex, and whips his head around to the source--a boy--before making his way over. It doesn't ever look like the kid's used a gun before, so he might as well help.]

[Good guess. As you come nearer, the curses he's muttering under his breath might be more... uh, hearable. Also, it's obvious that he's aiming to get through that door over there.]

[Gordon clears his throat, and gestures with his shotgun at the door. Kid need help?]

[Faye swoops in--yes, swoops, she has a pair of gnarled demon wings atm--from the top of the stairs, landing on a small group of zombies. After bowling them over, and gunning them down, she pauses to look around...and spots you!]

[Gordon inclines his head in greeting when he finds the source of the greeting, and gives a grim smile. Hey.]

[she looks as if she's about to continue with some sort of response, but her attention shifts over an inch and she fires over Gordon's shoulder. Sorry, there were zombies approaching]

[Gordon doesn't mind; if anything, he feels a little dumb for letting his focus drift away from the monsters all around him. There's one making a leap for Faye, so he holds his ground and fires a shot at the thing's head.]

[Hey there, Freeman! They've swapped out weapons a few times over the course of the day and are probably a little more gore-spattered than absolutely necessary, but Delta and York are having a great time. York's painted blue, but it's still obviously him - nobody else has that voice, or, more importantly, that little AI buddy, right?

And they're blasting through the hall monsters like there's no tomorrow. Because if they don't, who's to say there will be?]

[Not that Gordon knows of anyway.

Gordon sees the two of them and makes his way over, taking out monster upon monster with his shotgun and cutting a swathe of furry, bloodied beasts.

[He smacks the monsters back for a temporary reprieve.]

Yo! Freeman! Hanging in there?

[Gordon gives a fierce nod, taking the short break to finger more rounds into his shotgun. They go in with a twangy click before he pumps it once to finish reloading. Damn, but he misses his crowbar.]

[Pfft, shotguns. Those are for-- Wait, Subaru knows how to use those!

Nevertheless, he's getting awfully up close and personal with some of those zombies, what with the whole having-a-sword thing.

[He wouldn't shoot Subaru! But he is concerned for the kid since he's all up in the zombies' grills.

[Oh hey who is that taking out sum zombies? He glances back for only a moment in the direction of the bullet, flashing a small smile of appreciation before attempting to tear up another opponent. They just keep coming... and a stick of a kid like him doesn't have much by way of stamina. How long could he stick it out like this?]

[If he starts to show signs of being tired, Gordon's going to make sure he's okay. This isn't exactly something a kid should be having to take care of, but Gordon's not exactly in a place to tell him off! He'll just keep shootan dem zombies.]
