[005] Life vs. Pride
[Anyone sensitive to such things may have just felt an extremely strong rise in spiritual pressure near the entrance hall.
This will be Ukitake, twin swords in hand as he releases his shikai (first attack with his sword) to deal with the influx of monsters attacking from the main way into the castle.
He's using flash step to get around, maxing out the abilities he's worked centuries to get in order to make sure everyone is kept safe. He's doing well at the moment, but in another couple of hours or so this will start to take it's toll.
