[this is probably going to be the hardest filter of his life, given that the dude he's about to write to looks like the guy that killed his brother. he knows now that Alec's not that guy, though, and he figures maybe he should apologize -- grudgingly or whatever -- to the dude for flipping out on him. doesn't particularly want to, however, so ... have a good length of drumming out classic rock on the edge of the journal before]
