[For anyone in the vicinity, there is a big (all right, kinda average sized), white wolf napping in the flora populace of the garden. It has been a long day filled with exploring and running around. There seemed to be no sign of the silly prophet or her little bouncy travel companion anywhere in this place. Perhaps this "Paradisa" had yet to bring

after simply watching for a few moments, sarah has to speak up. perhaps it was a talking wolf, and how would she know if she didn't wake up?]
... Hello?

I suppose my world is rather boring -- especially compared to yours, if wolves are as intelligent as you.
[gently strokes her head] You like to sleep, don't you?

Her eyes open a little at the feeling of a hand on her head and the wolf yawns a big yawn. Yes. She most definitely does like to sleep. One of those 'Wake me up when the world needs me' type of shounen heroes deities.]

I have a dog back home -- he's not as big as you, but compared to other dogs, he's fairly large. Sometimes it seems as if he can understand me, but if he does, he can't tell me.
[yawns, then laughs] Now you're making me sleepy.

I believe that all animals have the capability to understand what people are saying to them. However...perhaps it is the humans who do not wish to understand the animal? Or maybe that's just her being a little too philosophical on the matter.
Have I? I apologize, then, though a nap amongst the flowers is very comforting.]

Hm. You may have a point... my stepmother, for example, hardly even pays attention to Merlin -- my dog. I suppose even I'm more concerned with him listening to me than anything else.
[smiles] Oh, I don't mind. But I don't think I'll be taking any outdoor naps just yet.

Once you are able to see him again, attempt it and see if you will be able to understand him. I am sure he would like that.
A snort. Try them one day. Before this weather starts to turn too cold to do so.]

You don't think I would look silly, sleeping outside?

That's how some of the other dogs she had come across seemed to be. Loyal to a fault and happy just to be near.
Of course not.]

I think it might be sort of different for you. Most people don't take naps outside... [but she is sorely tempted] Perhaps here it wouldn't be so out of place.

The dogs from where I am from are like that, as well. ... Some of them, at least. There are others who are too lazy and forget their duties.
She looks to Sarah and would shrug if she could.
Perhaps, but it would not be too different from napping inside one's home or the rooms of this castle. Yeah, this is how she'd like to view it. Amaterasu shakes her head. I get a feeling that many people here have forgotten such simple pleasures. ]

Well, outside you're very vulnerable. I suppose most people feel safer inside. [She leans back on her hands, nodding] But I think you're right. My stepmother would throw a fit if she saw me napping outside -- but here, I don't think anyone would stop me.

The wolf cocks her head upwards a little, to the sky. Dogs that attack their owners, hm? It is hard to imagine, but she can understand why they just might...
Looking back down and the Sarah there is a slight smile in the wolf's eyes.
I suppose you may be right. She stands to all fours now and gives the girl's shoulder a forehead-bump. So, while you are here, you should give it a try someday. And if you would like company I would be more than happy to join you.]

[laughs a little, scratching behind her ears again.] I will, I promise. And thank you - I think I'd feel a little, well, safer that way.

It is no trouble at all. It's always nice to have another join you for such things.]
