Ought to narrow the list down quite a bit, then. If he is some construct being controlled, which is a good explanation for how he's able to hop from place to place faster than the speed of light and be impervious to peoples' attacks, there can't be that many people around who could do that, right?

Anyone from my world, but I'm not sure it'd work anyway. Summon monsters aren't really made for fighting other summon creatures.

It's a good guess, anyway. And if not a summon, specifically, some other kind of construct makes more sense than being an actual person.
