I know the fact that they know the dinosaur guy is weird, but... There's nothing to say that they aren't real, that the people on the dinosaur island weren't real either. They could just be like us. They might be just like us, and we're too arrogant to know it. What if the worlds we're from are really just ( Read more... )

...I've always tried to treat the townspeople themselves with respect, but I admit to being dismissive of the ones on the world changes, assuming they were little more than animate props for the castle, simulating feelings they didn't actually have.

Now, I've begun to wonder. If this isn't just another game of the castle's, if they truly are sentient beings and not mere simulations without true capacity for thought...then this place is much more sinister than I had realized.

I never felt like they weren't real.

... I wouldn't put it past it. But this... seems to prove that the castle isn't the thing that changes. We just go other places. Isn't that what it feels like?

I think we all just got too comfortable with what we knew. We let our guard down, and that's why everyone is so agitated about this.

I always had a feeling, but I never had any confirmation. Surviving in whatever world we were tossed into seemed more important at the time, you know?

... I just wish I could land on a world where humanity isn't an issue. I guess that's impossible.

[sigh, he heard that from Anise before he went and put himself on a bus]

Being a replica isn't something that classifies as an 'old wound'. I'll always be a replica, it's just what I am. But it's not... who. I'm my own person, not a substitute. And I feel like, if they had the chance, the others would want to say the same thing.

Nicely said, man.

...Doesn't make it any less complicated, though, that's for sure.

... Thanks.

I know. But you really can't make something like this simple.
