[When It Rains, It Pours]

[aaaaaaand the bottom lets out; it's now pouring cats and dogs, lots of thunder and lightning]

Naturally it would be raining. [He doesn't seem especially worried, but he does begin poking around for a good heavy stick.]

[moves to the front of the group where everyone can see her and jumps up and down a few times, waving her arms to get everyone's attention]

Guys! HEY GUYS! We're uh ... we're ... [is so not a leader, but is trying dammit] We're going to head back to the main complex. It'll be safer there and we can meet up with everyone else. Let's ... let's stick to the river, and we should be okay.

[looks up at the near-dark sky, the bad storm, and wishes even more that the Doctor were here. He would know what to do. But this was her idea in the first place, and she'll get these people back safely]

[Staying close to Peri and the general group, greatly detesting being stuck as a child right now.]

As fascinating as humans are, I have decided that I dislike being one.

[Rising Waters]

[as you make your way back upriver towards the complex, you notice the water in the river is rising, and quickly! All the torrential rain has flooded the river beyond capacity. The section of the riverbank you're traversing is rocky, muddy, and slightly steep. You'd better hurry before the water overtakes you!]

Ah... be careful!

[arwen is glad at this point that she is wearing something very similar to her riding outfit (when Frodo is on the horse - that one), as the skirts are split somewhat, and shorter - much less cumbersome.]

[as the waters continue to rise, she breaks off a stick to use to help keep her balance, and gestures to others to do the same, if necessary.]

[looking nervously at the rushing water; is glad she got that stick earlier. even if she hasn't had to use it as a weapon earlier, it's been good to use as a walking stick]

The water's rising! We need to hurry!

[After battling the swollen river, you come to a section where the forest jungle comes closer to the water's edge. As you approach, you see a small pack of dinosaurs chilling at the forest edge. They're medium-sized, but about the height of an average human when standing on their hind legs. They haven't noticed you yet, but they look harmless enough ...]/i>

[Arwen notices them, and looks them over - predators. She's glad she grabbed that stick to help with balance while walking in water...]

[comes to a stop just behind Arwen, thumping into her back]

[whispers] Oh--oh--what kind do you think they are?

Predators of some sort. And large enough to be dangerous.
