[In a flurry of bats, Myotismon teleports in once it's dark outside. He's...got a nice black heart floating over his head.]

Ah, much better. it's getting absolutely claustrophobic over in the castle.

[He finishes up and bows dramatically (maybe someone clapped, who knows). He returns to his seat, looking rather pleased with himself.]

Another one of those drinks, if you don't mind.

[Maybe it was that sad, lonely guy in the corner? Lorne beams, making him another and handing it over]

How, here's the million dollar question, Honey. Do you really want to know what your destiny holdS?

[He takes the glass, looking pleased with himself.]

I will succeed or I will fail, depending on whether or not I find the Eighth Child. It is hardly worth worrying about now that I have ensured I cannot be defeated in this world. My plans are in motion at home, and their success or failure will not be affected by my actions here.

[Lorne laughs, leaning on the bar]

Is that a fancy way of saying 'no'?

I know what the prophecies say. And I intend to change them.

[Laugh] Now THAT'S what I like to see. Someone who's willing to change their own destiny.

Oh, parts of them I'm willing to keep. But what is the point of power, after all, if not to ensure that your own goals are accomplished?

Yey power? Sorry, Sweetie, I'm just a humble bartender and occasional babysitter, not much in for the power-stakes.

Oh, there is nothing wrong with that--for someone else. Staying out of the game means you need not be at risk of losing it, hmm?

Exact-o-mundo my friend. I'd rather help everyone else on their paths.

[Good answer, my new friend.]

Now that is a useful attitude. Would that more people thought the same way.

[Smile]

Tell me about it, we're few and far between, but we are out there.
