I have a question: has anyone been tending to the orange groves here? They aren't in the greatest condition, I must say. If there is no one... would I be permitted to take up the task?

I don't think anyone is tending them. And as there seems to be no jurisdiction here I would say go for it.

My my that certainly sounds like a real shame. Giving a little tender loving care to some neglected plants sounds like a reasonable request...I'd think.

I agree. Surely the castle doesn't have something against the plantlife here as well.
