No, I agree with you. I just imagine if you tell the followers of a vigilante that their system isn't real, they would get angry, like people tend to do when you question their god.

This robot is, supposedly, intended for destruction. There are innocent people here, so if something can be done about it, it should be done. "Maintenance" or not.
