[Martel couldn't ignore the loud sound of clawing and the yelling and listened to him, slightly concerned.] Are you all right?

[heal_theworld]

[Martel goes and pokes around, and finds a journal in it.] Here it is! [She brings it over.]

[justpouncing]

[ And on the cover it says 'Simba', not that he can read it of course. He just tilts his head at it curiously, but he's not too interested. ]

Can I eat it?

[heal_theworld]

No you can't eat it. [She reads the cover.] Is your name...Simba?

[justpouncing]

Wow, how'd you know that?!

[heal_theworld]

Your name is written on your journal. But you probably can't read writing. I'm Martel, by the way. ...What kind of an animal are you?

[justpouncing]

A lion! Isn't it obvious?

Not really. We don't have lions on my world.

That sounds like a weird world!

Well, I think a world with talking lions in it is weird! Being weird is completely relative. [She sits down on the ruined couch.] You'd never met anybody like me before, have you?

Why wouldn't we be able to talk?!

[ Silly human. With a tilt of his head, he sits down on the ground nearby, just not near enough to touch. ]

I met a human earlier named Allen. But that was the first time. You're different, though. A girl, right?

Well, I'm not used to creatures speaking. [Actually, they just try to attack you on her world.]

I'm a half-elf, which is half-human and half-elf. And yes, I am a girl. [She smiles at him.]
