[ If you're in the kitchen this afternoon there looks to be the remnants of a baking explosion. One that Kitty's currently cleaning up ]

Was it wrong to expect a bigger fuss? Barring everyone that got drunk, which was actually not as amusing as it was probably meant to be?

They're pretty pointless but having something to hope for or work towards is nice.

It's something people like to do at the start of a new year, make 'resolutions' - things that they hope to do or work towards during the year. Most get forgotten or broken.
