[Maine is currently on his way to check out the car he found keys to in his rinky-dink studio. Being on his loss, he doesn't really recognize her, but he's got to wait for her to pass in order to get to his cab.]

[She would not recognize him either. Oddly enough though when the dog at her side looks at him he starts barking furiously and takes a step toward Maine.]

Tres? [It would probably be best not to make any sudden movements.]

[Maine stops and looks down at the dog. He's not in the least intimidated by it, and actually growls back in response.]

[Caterina is a little peeved. She only wants to go to work and now these two were going at it. To think she was about to apologize for her dog's odd behavior.]

Tres! [That shuts him up though he still growls lowly. Now to Maine.]

I would appreciate it if you did not encourage him, Sir!

[ Remi isn't quite used to being human yet. She's got the body of a normal ten year old, but she isn't quite used to humans dismissing her or nearly run into her as she walks up a few blocks of her 'home'. she's never had to wear pants, so the idea of walking around in them takes a bit of getting used to. remi takes a second to stare at a dog over half her size AHAHHA ]

Good afternoon. [ She looks up to address what could be the dog's owner ]

Good afternoon. [Caterina stops and smiles warmly at the child. She has always been fond of children.]

Would you like to pet, Tres? [It's what most children want when they stop her.]

[ staring at the dog for a second before looking back of ] Of course. That is, if he doesn't bite in return.

He never bites unless he finds a threat. [She smiles reassuringly. Obviously this tiny child isn't one.]

It's...kind've nice, isn't it? It looks a lot like home.

[So along walks Ryotaro, who seems to be having a nice conversation

with himself]

I guess I'm just more comfortable in this kind've environment...I was raised in the city after all.

Then again, that's a good point. You were all used to that kind of environment too, right?

[Oh hey look, a dog. He'll stare at it for a second, then laugh quietly.]

It's okay, I don't think it'll hurt you. You...really need to calm down around dogs.

[Then there's a pause. He was pretty focused on the dog, only just realizing there's another person nearby. Watch him raise his head, then smile towards you.]

Oh, hello! I'm sorry, I...I didn't notice you there for a moment. Is this your dog?

[swordbearing]

[Caterina is understandably concerned. Tres was not registering this boy as a threat so she sees no reason to question him just yet.]

Yes. This is Tres.

He's wonderful.

[He'll crouch down in front of Tres, slowly...not sure if it's safe to or not but considering Ryotaro is the one of the unluckiest people in the universe, he has every right to be cautious.]

I haven't actually seen a lot of dogs before, in person anyway...what breed is he?

You can pet him. [She smiles reassuringly.] He is a German Shepard. He only reacts negatively to threats against his owner.

[At first he is quietly bemused by how stoic that dog looks, maybe not enough to want to stop and pet it, but enough that he's watching it as he walks. And while his owner is familiar to him, he can't quite place where he's seen her before, so he... ignores it for the most part...]

[Too bad as he's passing her some jerk in a particular hurry rushes by him pushing him into her... Welp...]

[Caterina is caught off guard by a man suddenly being pushed toward her. Lucky for Charlie she at least makes an attempt to catch him before falling over while Tres barks furiously at the actual person who pushed them.

Well they're definitely in a hurry to leave now.]

[...oh thank god the dog is smart. He watches the guy continue running and breathes a sigh of relief]

[...wait shit, he's on someone. Immediately shifts, trying to get to his feet to help this lady up. Talking as he's moving fff]
