Nepeta: Partake in holiday cheer.

[While some tweens may choose to play out in the snow, Nepeta is currently sitting beside a cozy fireplace in the lobby. She looks purrticularly toasty in her new sweater that she wished for all by herself, and there's a plate full of cookies not far from her reach

[Kanji is taking advantage of the cold weather to indulge in a little knitting, but he was actually taking a brief break to go down to the kitchens to get a snack. He brought his knitting along with, of course, just in case.

So when he spots Nepeta he changes directions.]

Hey, Nepeta-chan, what's up? Cute sweater, by the way.

[furriendly]

Hi, Kanji! [She looks down at the sweater proudly.] Thanks! I have been getting that a lot. I think I will wear this more often!

[punk_emperor]

It's a good color on you, I think. Mind if I sit? I was just headin' down for a snack, but hangin' with a friend is even better.

[furriendly]

Sure! [She scoot scoots a bit so he can enjoy the fire with her.]

I have lots of leftover gingerbread kitties if you want a snack.

[punk_emperor]

Oh, thanks! They look great.

[He'll grab one to nibble on and pull out his knitting. It's just a scarf and it's half done. A nice warm chocolate brown with small areas of brighter colors.]

So you're having fun with the season, huh? Been out to play in the snow yet?

[furriendly]

I have, but it's so cooooold! [She feigns a shiver.] All of the animals are hiding, and I don't blame them.

[She eyes his knitting and...

Oh gosh, is that a ball of yarn? A perfectly round ball of color just begging to be played with? IS IT?]

[punk_emperor]

That's why you bundle up! Scarves and coats and gloves and shit.

[The needles clack away as he knits, and yes indeed, it is a ball of color. Several, actually, nearly a complete rainbow. He's got them stored in a small cloth bag, but it's fallen open and they're perilously close to rolling out.]

[furriendly]

[And now she is officially distracted. She sets her journal and cookies aside and leans over just enough... Aha! A ball of yarn falls out of the back and she's quick to grab it, giggling in delight.]

[punk_emperor]

[He'd almost be mad, but it's not a color he's started using yet, so d'awwwww. He laughs.]

You unravel that and you'd better wind it back up when you're done.

[furriendly]

I will be careful, I promise! It's just hard to resist a tempting ball of yarn when it is so close!

[She turns it around in her hands, seemingly delighted]

[punk_emperor]

[More chuckling.] You're super cute, Nepeta-chan. If I wasn't plannin' on using that in this scarf I'd let you keep it, but that one's an important color.

[furriendly]

[Cheeks gain a light green tint at that cute comment, but she quickly latches onto another subject]

Oh, well that's okay! I can always wish up some yarn later. Who is the scarf for?

[punk_emperor]

Me! [Kanji laughs] I know I could just wish one up, but I'd rather make one for myself, you know?

[furriendly]

[Nodding] Uh huh! It makes it more special. Making clothes seems like it takes a pawfully long time.

[punk_emperor]

It can, but it's worth it, to know it's something you've made for yourself, you know? Or just put your own touches on to make special. It's why I work on all my clothes myself, 'cause that way they're unique and part of me. Kinda. If that makes any sense?

[furriendly]

[Nodding]

It makes purrfect sense! I think that is also why Kanaya makes clothes, too, so she can put her own touches on them.

[peering at his scarf] Can I watch you make more of it?
