[going outside today will net you one confused member of the Koriel going full out WTF at the weather. it's cold and he can't help but flinch everytime snow falls on him because Dextera has never been in a situation where something cold didn't hurt him. but so far he's deemed it safe to wander around and try and figure out exactly what was going on

[Felix's awe with the weather went out with last winter, and he's left to slog his way to town for work. Some days, he really wished he could magic himself around like some of the others did

He spots Dextera standing around like a mooncalf in the snow

Dextera? What's wrong?

[oh, it's Felix. he probably knows what this is.

so he'll point down at the snow with a questioning look on his face. what is it?]

It's snow.

[he can deal with annoying a bit better.

Dextera blinks - so this was what Ashura told him about - and reaches down and sticks his hands in the snow before jerking them back out a second later. it's cold!]

[Stocking is enjoying the weather and ignoring the fireflies. She could care less about them hovering around her; the snow brought back good, but sad, memories back in Daten City.]

[and he's still staring up at the sky like an idiot. Dextera sure about all this. back home, sudden changes usually meant something bad was going to happen.]

[She snaps back into the present and sees Dextera standing around and looking up at the sky. A quick look up, and snow lands on her nose.

Nothing weird in the sky. So...what has his attention?]

Dextera?

[he looks over at Stocking before pointing to at the snow. he looks a little confused. what is snow?]

[Barney's on his way back up to the castle from the WildKat when he spots the confused kid]

Hey. ... Let me guess, first snow?

[he nods and moves a little bit of the snow with his foot. since people are walking around in it, it's probably safe so Dextera is a little less worried about it.]

Trust me, it's not gonna hurt you. It's just water and air and ... cold. [he pauses, thinks about what he just said, and shrugs]

Yeah, I don't know how it works either. That's the kind of thing you learn in school and then promptly forget.

[he tilts his head at the school comment - Dextera has no idea what that is - and bends down and sticks his hands in the snow. yup! very cold.]
