[Peace Patrol - And Any Interested In Joining]All things considered, I think it's time for a meeting, don't you all? I'll give those of us who were wounded in the expedition a few more days to rest and recover, but -- Friday seems a fair enough day ( Read more... )

I haven't heard from Yuan either. Maybe he's doing something... you know. Research-y.

Perhaps? But he does tend to share his findings - or lack thereof - with me rather steadily. I'm beginning to fret a bit.

Maybe you're right. Want me to look for him?

I've already checked the usual places, but another pair of eyes wouldn't hurt, I'm sure. Thank you, Lloyd.

My name is Tear Grants. I'd like to know more about the Peace Patrol, if possible. [She's disappointed by the lack of response to threats. Maybe there's no leadership here, either.] Is the meeting open to others?

But of course, Tear... I'll answer as many questions as I can. And you're more than welcome to come and attend the meeting.

Thank you. It's just that I haven't heard mention of it until now, even when others were discussing evacuation plans and ways to put out a fire. What are the goals of the Peace Patrol? What kind of presence does this organization have, or want to have?

cricketycricket November 29 2011, 04:51:38 UTC
Well, it certainly doesn't have as much of a presence as it should, I'll preface with that much. It went untended for quite a while after its last leader went home, and now Yuan, a friend of mine who took charge, has gone missing. So I'm trying to pull a few things together in his stead. I would've done something more, myself, but I was out with the expeditioners, I'm afraid.

As for goals, we strive to keep a somewhat relaxed order - give the residents enough freedom to come and go as they please, but make sure that they feel safe, as well. Some residents are prone to violence and such, and we try to keep an eye on them, and mete out any necessary restraint or punishment. The actual justice system is still in a very heavy process of revision ... we've so many different viewpoints that it's difficult to find a solution that the majority can agree on, without it being something as broad as "play nice".

[Blaaargh curse you Five :/ James is going to have to hobble down there, but hobble he will! And he doesn't care if both of you can read this...]

I think that is needed after what we found, and what has occurred while the majority of us were not here. [He was but he was knocked out for the event.] Which leads me to asking this, I feel as if I should share the letter that was found, do you think it wise?

James, to end cricketycricket November 28 2011, 01:25:14 UTC
I think that would be an excellent idea. We're all level-headed folk, I don't think anyone would be prone to panicking once they hear of it. And it would be a marvellous jumping-off point for discussion on several fronts...

It would be, yes. However there are also those here who, may panic, but no matter when such an announcement was to occur it would have a similar reaction. But I will share it soon then, over the journal.

Oh, a few odd scrapes and bruises and the like, but still in one piece! You sound like you came off rather well, yourself.

I thought so too hullo_sweetie November 28 2011, 01:34:22 UTC
Oh, I got a bump on the head. Knocked me out for a bit, but otherwise I'm fine.

Oh, dear. Well, not much can keep you down, that's for certain. Will you be coming to our meeting?

[He doesn't mention the meeting, it's kind of a give in that he agrees and will most certainly be there]

His journal was in your library? That's odd. Maybe he's been turned into something and we just don't know what it is.

Yesssss, that's ... unsurprisingly rather what I've been thinking. I don't suppose Delirium's seen him at all? I know she's fond of your TARDIS.

Not that she's mentioned, but you know how she is. [He laughs] A few weeks ago she wanted an airplane so we could bake brownies.

An ....

Right. How did they come out, then? The brownies. ... Or the airplanes, either way.
