Call me curious, but what's the longest a temporary loss gone?

I have a friend whose been a bit...indisposed for awhile now.

He's not really sure, but he didn't care about anything. He was sort of blunt to the point of hurting feelings. I'm not sure what else he did though.

There were a couple. Both...weird and I'd rather not talk about, but I haven't heard about them happening to others really.

Usually the really long losses turn out to be the quietest.
