[All that talk of teams? Out the window. This game is every player for themself! That doesn't mean you can't form alliances with people or make your own informal teams.

Take this time to meet the other players and make friends! Or size them up and try to strategize for how you will hunt them down.

There are a few arcade games to play while you wait, if you're the antisocial sort.]

[There's a wee dragon, picking up a lazer weapon and looking at it with morbid fascination. The suit doesn't fit all that well but he doesn't care.

[BRAVE LITTLE DRAGON. Nepeta makes her way toward him and gives him a thumbs up.]

You can do it! Don't even think about how much taller everyone else is. You have stealth on your side!

You're right. I mean, I can clamber up stuff and sneak about. [No. He can't. He's going to get slaughtered ]

Players: Shoot with reckless abandon.

[This is it, the moment you've all been waiting for. You've been briefed on the mission: Shoot everyone in sight. After all, ammo is unlimited, and you can't REALLY hurt anyone with these lasers. You've got 30 minutes to tag as many people as you can, so you'd better make the most of your time.

The vault gate slowly opens, revealing the maze. It's dark, fog machines are on high, and loud music thumps in your ears.

A siren sounds, signaling the start of the game. Hurry up, because you've got ten seconds to disperse before your packs activate and it's every player for themself!]

Vriska: Linger.

[Oh, what's this? Vriska's not hurrying to be ahead of the game? She's kicking back and waiting for everyone to run ahead of her?

What is happen?]

Nepeta: Try to understand.

[Nepeta's not the first one out of the gates, but she notices that she's also not the last. The countdown is still ticking, and she looks back at the one troll she was sure would bolt out the door first.]

C'mon, Vwiskers! Let's go hide from everyone else!

Vriska: Be tactical.

[Vriska simply offers the troll a shrug, lifting her gun and waiting for the countdown to be over with, eyes not leaving the scurrying children.]
