[ There is a stumble. A crash. It is promptly followed by furious hissing that sounds as if it would far better befit a dragon than a man, but there is good reason for such hissing. Such as running into things in the room as he moves around it, though he has the distinct sensation of things.. shifting. Or he could almost say. A hand presses into ( Read more... )

The castle is indeed alive, as far as we've gathered. It's in a world of its own.

This castle..

I think I would enjoy tearing it down. From top to foundation.

[ Yes, he's angry. Very angry. Sephiroth will not calm down about his loss for some time. ]

That's been done, I'm afraid. It rebuilt itself at the stroke of midnight.

Calm down. Trying to get back at the castle might only make things worse.

Calm. Calm.

You expect me to be calm when this infernal place has stripped one of my senses from me.

No, woman. I will not be calm.

[ He sounds calm, however, despite the words. It's hard to make out the anger beneath his words, but oh is it there. ]

Which sense?

... Sight.

[ A sense that can cripple a warrior in an instant. And for someone like Sephiroth whom possesses eidetic memory.. It is perhaps a worse punishment than death. ]

Your loss, hm. It's the way this place works.

No one should be attacking you. It sounds bad but this place can make it worse.

My loss..? So then, there are others whom have had some essential piece of them stripped away as well?

And you say that but you don't sound certain. ...

[ Don't tempt fate, Sephiroth, by asking "How?" It won't end well for you. ]

Some more essential than others. I have a friend who lost her voice.

You want a second thing hitting your right on top of this one, right away?

.. No.

[ He wants his sight back. True, for a man whom has an eidetic memory, it is not as great a blow as it could be, but.. He's a warrior. He's crippled. Planet, this is galling him. ]

Ripping this place up won't fix your vision. And it might just make it mad.

[ Breathe, Sephiroth, before you try to strangle her. Breathe. That's it. A twitch before his hand comes upwards, fingertips pressing to his temple. ]

.. Could it be reversed?

[Glad she's talking to him through the journal.]

At times, permanent losses have been known to change. Unfortunately, that's not at our convenience, and since they're meant to be losses and suit the people they're inflicted on... I doubt yours will change so soon.

[ Good thing indeed; with his temper still so unstable, he might do something he would (maybe) later regret. Maybe. ]

That is good enough for me. If it can change, then..

[ Suit the people they're inflicted on, is it? He wonders what it says about him that he has lost his sight. To lose an important piece of himself. ]
