Erm, yes. I mean, yes, I think your room would be fine. Definitely.

[Somebody seems more frazzled than usual.]

[Cookies. How random. Tesla stares at them for a minute, then shrugs.]

Ah, yeah. You always have been the Sherlock of our little group, I'm not surprised.

[He likes cookies alright? But then he nods as well.]

Yes I have, it is not hard to, conclude that at all. And do watch who you call Sherlock there is a man by that very name here now.

But as I was saying, you waited on her to take charge. I doubt you would like such a thing to, occur again, try perhaps, taking her out to something you both enjoy. Not a movie or some such thing, but something, relatively harmless to the castle at large yes?

Or perhaps even a movie and mocking it.

Really? The actual Sherlock Holmes? [He whistles and grins.] Looks like you have some competition from your fictional counterpart, Watson.

A movie and mocking it? So you want us to go all MST3K on something? Maybe. But really, are relationships all about mocking? I hardly think so?

Not precisely my spiky haired friend, he can not share his deductions with the world at large. [That had been fun.] Smart man nonetheless.

And no they are not, however you two, that is how you show our affection. You bond over a common experience and from there work towards more. Mocking and laughing at something can lead to mocking and holding one another, then less mocking and more holding et cetera et cetera. Find other things you have in common besides mocking and being vampires.

Oh. Good for you, you actually outwitted someone who just happens to be the character that was based off of you. [A pause.] Sometimes I wonder how much weirdness my mind can take from this place, and then it surprises me.

["Holding one another?" Really, James? :I] Well, we do like beverages and collecting things and mocking people and...yeah, I got nothing.

He does not know that yet, though I do believe my name was something of a shock. [But he does chuckle.] Outwitting is what I do best however. And, indeed. Though even our world at times, is unusual.

[HOLDING ROCKS NIKOLA! >> Just get over it.] And that is precisely why you should learn more about her. See what she likes and surprise her on occasion, with something enjoyable. Learn a day of importance to her and remember it, respect it. Or find something she enjoys beyond mocking and coffee and, do ti with her.

I know that, but even so, meeting fictional characters is like meeting Santa. I mean, really. That's beyond weird and is probably in the "this is where you are high on drugs" category, except here, you aren't.

So...just find out stuff she likes, and then share it with her? Is that it?

And meeting historical figures is not beyond weird as you put it? You are long sense dead in many of their times and it could fall into a similar category.

And share it with her in a, meaningful way. [Which with Nikola more then likely means just doing it but hey James can dream.] And you will learn from there what to do, if you would like to move in with one another and such, respect one anothers boundaries, help her if she needs it.

Yes, well, I'm different. Mostly because nobody even remembers who I am, let alone know of my achievements.

[James, you think the worst of him. He was called the Celibate Scientist for a reason, you know...mostly because he was doting on Helen too much to notice anyone else. You know a few on the side, BUT THAT DOESN'T MATTER> >:I] Hmmm.

[And then he shakes his head, looking taken aback and ever so slightly amused.] If I didn't know any better, I'd say you are already preparing for our marriage. I can see the invitations being written up in your head right now.

Not always so different my friend, not for those who do pay attention to history. But it is still the same.

[Yes but still! Remembering is important!

And he chuckles at that and takes a bite of his cookie.] I would not be so bold as to do that. Hoping for such a thing? Yes, of course, but never so far in advance. You did and Nigel did the same however if you recall.

Not really. Because at least you know historical figures like us existed. Fictional characters are an entirely different ball park.

[A frown.] Hey, Nigel needed some goading to seal the deal. Poor guy was stuck in the middle for a very long time. But really, what do you get from me being happy? Is this just a new hobby of yours to spend time on in your old age?

There is always an influence however of a fictional character, someone in the real world. Not many realize it however.

[A laugh.} Yes I know he did, and he deserved it. And you being happy is exactly that Nikola, you being happy. It is no hobby, I just would like to see you and Helen happy here, for however long we are here. You have had very trying years since my death, and Helen has more to come. [Why is he dropping hints? But he doesn't say anything else as he drinks his tea, looking a touch melancholy.]

So, we're all stories in the end? [A laugh.] How philosophical.

[And then his expression falls.] Hey, you're alive here, James. That's what is important. And I'm sure whatever happens in our future will happen. There's nothing I can do about taking away my immortality- because I'll forget everything from here when I go back home. It's the way things are.

I can be on occasion, call it old age if you will.

[He shakes his head at that and waves it off.] Yes however...[Oh geez but it's Nikola, he can tell Nikola right?] I know there is nothing you can do about that, and knowing you can, forget things before returning, makes this, easier...[Not really, it blows knowing he won't be remembered if one of them goes home.] But I know, something of Helen's future. And Worth's.

Yes, well, you really do act like an old man sometimes-

[And a pause.] Wait, what? You do? Why haven't I heard about this before?
