[Kind of wobbling a bit on one foot as he readies himself. The leaf is a good four feet away on the walk.]

[After a few moments' deliberation, he bends his knees, balances himself with his arms... and jumps.
He lands about a foot from the leaf, and wobbles a bit before breaking into a big smile.]
❀ I almost had it! This means I have to start counting at one again. ❀

Is it cheating if someone helps you? [ and to show him just how he would do this, he crouches down a little and links the fingers of both hands together to create a makeshift cup ] You can put your foot here--
[ he nods toward his hands ] And I'll give you a boost!
