Hmmm? [He sounds a little drowsy, but he's heard her and there's the sound of bed sheets rustling as he shifts upright and answers her. She's actually caught him drifting off with the journal open on his lap.] Fred? What time is it?

Oh, I stand corrected then. Very clever.

[He chuckles softly.]

How much of this are you going to remember in the morning?

It's morning now, and I'm remembering just fine.

[Not that she's saying just exactly is being remembered]

Why do you think I went and asked to be tucked in?

Because I give good tuck?

[All right that didn't sound quite so salacious in his head pre-utterance.]

[There's the sound of her journal being pulled closer]

That's hard to say, all things considered. Maybe I'm still forming my opinion.

I like to be thorough.

Hmmm, then we'll have to find further opportunities for study before you make your conclusions, correct?

I've always believed in a thorough and thoughtful examination of all've the evidence at hand before making any lasting and meaningful conclusions...

[That was a lot of words all at once. She might've stumbled over one or three]

...I can start examining you now, if you'd like.

What will this thorough and thoughtful examination entail?

Well I suppose that all depends, doesn't it.

Depends on what?

On how thirsty you get.

[She's clearly pleased with herself again]

...I supposed we could examine previous evidence.

How thirsty I get?

[He was having trouble keeping up with her, but she was the one intoxicated.]

Ah. I promise I won't get up for a glass of water this time.

[There's a long, lingering pause]

Well now, that's just mean.

Wait. Now I'm confused. Did you want me to?

Saying that you'll stay. When you're there, and I'm ...here.

[A breath exhales]

...untucked.

I'm afraid there's not much I can do about that. I'd get in trouble if I tried to sneak in there. As brave as I can sometimes be, Cordy's wrath in particular is quite formidable.
