[Have you investigated Gibson's room yet? No? Why not?

It's a wonderfully dark place with no sun, a green colony carved into calcite-like rocks, pulsing like an emerald in the dark canyons. Off in the distance are two other gem-like vistas, the dark blue towers of Tron City and the stunning white crystal of Arjia City, home of the ISOs ( Read more... )

[The man in black is poking around the area, marveling internally at the complexity of the world. He certainly hadn't witnessed anything like this back on the earth, let alone any of the survivors whose minds he had scanned.]

[So he's just walking around, feeling the cold stone and taking in the bright lights that are pulsating throughout the entire area. He's fascinated, to say the least.]

[It's easy to see, in a place like this, why Gibson's so loudly anti-sunlight--and why he thinks everything must have a logical explanation. Every piece of architecture from the decorations to the stone canyons themselves has a mathematical basis, down to the tiniest fleck of rock.

A few of the green-circuited natives nod at him politely - they're not exactly fond of outsiders, but one can't really get in without an invitation. It's not exactly marked on a map or along a major highway. If he's here it must be as a guest.]

[He nods back, but watches them with interest as they pass by. He really wasn't kidding when he was describing how there were others like him, in a world that any regular computer programer would do anything to investigate.]

[He keeps moving inward, towards the residential areas. How quaint. Even in Gibson's world, the place where you lived was designed perfectly to one's needs.]

[There are an awful lot of benches and what look like glowing trash cans--but since so little waste is produced, they seem to be more like portable batteries, full of energy for the taking. Nearer the residential areas, there's a set of programs sitting at desks with large monitors overlooking what seems to be an arena where large, glowing car-like vehicles seem to be intent on destroying one another to the cheers of the onlookers.

The "houses" themselves are small sets of rooms carved directly into the rocks, none looking exactly the same in style or furnishings. These programs pride themselves on their individuality, as any Bostrumite will remark if asked. They'll proudly describe themselves as the last truly free society on the Grid, though they don't go into a lot of detail as to what that really means.]
