You just never let up, huh?
[Private]
[Rin's voice in the journal sounds strangely... rather flat, as she dictates.]
I forget sometimes how good this thing is messing with all of us... maybe it's not the worst, hmm? You know, a long time back, years now... the castle projected dreams in peoples' rooms. I guess it liked the idea enough to refit it for all of us now. It's uncanny, isn't it?
[As for anyone interested in Rin's room and how it has or has not transformed, well...
Her small suite of luxurious, comfortable rooms has transformed into an enclosure that can't even really properly be referred to as inside - the suggestion of the rambling streets of Edo suggests that. But the space inside her head is more then 'just' a city - it's a swirl, because Rin is a traveler, and she's breached the bounds of Edo. Though, the forests and sunlit paths breaking up neighborhoods like stripes on a peppermint. Alternating a lane of shops and houses, and private little glens that feel very far away from the houses and crowds.
Yet, where crowds should be... there aren't any. There's a strange feeling of disconnect to the city that's in Rin's mind. There's the sensation of being in an area people have recently vacated, and perhaps an explorer might catch a brief burst of chatter and noise, now and again. But that's rather rare, more than it should be, and the crowded buildings feel... lonely. A room that a party's just left. A place that's not necessarily unwelcoming, but doesn't really care. Lonely is the easiest word, yes.
The trees and glens feels a little softer, more welcoming - perhaps resembling to at least some degree the idyllic wilderness found in Paradisa. Far away from people, and offering a little more solace. Sometimes, the faint trill of birds, but rarely seen.
It's not such a large space, really. Truncated for the castle's convenience, as it were; in actuality it might cover the space of a few square blocks, used very efficiently. And at the center of it all is something different, again.
Rin's house, which she knows, but of course that no one else will recognize. And the house itself a little skewed - one room near the front shut up tight. It seems to emanate heat, discomfort, sticky sweat and misery. Closed off from all the other rooms, a secret.
Rin is sitting one the front step of her house, her Pokémon close with her, her sword across her legs and her journal open over her knees. Ready to discourage anyone who might try to come poking into that private, personal room, if anyone would. She looks closed off herself. Reserved, guarded, vulnerable and strained.]
